About Us

“belongs to the linguistic family Pano and Tacana, with two distinct ethnic groups: the first composed of the Shipibos-Conibos, brought during the time of the removal of the siringa or rubber (1950), some remained in this territory to find the optimum conditions to live in their forests. The second group are the Ese’eja peoples indigenous inhabitants of this region of the Mother of God, the Mission was composed of the Pillar influenced by the Dominican Missionaries, then moved to the current Community three islands. This community has forests with abundant trees of chestnut; people are engaged in activities such as fishing, gathering of fruits, agriculture and artisanal mining. There is a lake and quebrada Chorrera and clay licks.”
