Day 1.- Your Sandoval Lake Tour begins with a warm reception at the airport or bus station, followed by a transfer to our office, where you’ll receive important details about the journey ahead. From there, we head to the port to board a boat for an hour-long ride through the stunning waterways leading to our ecolodge.

Upon arrival, you’ll settle into comfortable bungalows before embarking on an introductory jungle walk. This guided two-hour trek through the dense Tambopata rainforest offers a chance to admire towering trees, some over 500 years old. Along the way, you may encounter exotic wildlife such as toucans, orioles, parrots, monkeys, snakes, and vibrant butterflies. As part of the Sandoval Lake Tour Itinerary, you will experience the magic of the Amazon within the Tambopata National Reserve, a 278,000-hectare protected area under Peruvian law.
