Arrival at the airport or bus station and transfer to our office. Final instructions about our tour, before starting the expedition to the jungle. In case you have a large luggage, we ask you to repack to store unnecessary items and carry enough for the trip. Travel by land by vehicle (4X4) for approximately 2 hours to your destination on the banks of the Tambopata River. From there we will have a boat to the hostel. Welcome, breakfast or lunch according to the arrival time. we will settle in our respective cabins and in the afternoon, we will take an introductory walk to the tropical jungle where we will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat, such as amphibians, mammals, reptiles and wonderful insects, among others. We will return before nightfall, then we will have a dinner with traditional food from the Peruvian jungle. You will be given a brief talk of La Colpa of parrots or macaws and some basic instructions on them, it is recommended to go to bed early so you can get up early with energy the next day.
We will get up very early, at 4:30 am, to make an incredible boat trip to the largest macaw clay lick in the world, “EL CHUNCHO”, a trip of approximately 1:30 hours by boat. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to see some species of mammals such as, for example, the capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world, tapirs, and you may start to see the most beautiful feline in South America , The jaguar. Again we will get up very early, at 4:40 am for a 3 km walk. In the middle of the dense tropical jungle, we will visit the Sandoval lake (piranha habitat), one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve, and we will ride in a traditional canoe from where we will appreciate many species of birds (hoatzin, cormorant, jacana , tiger heron, vulture). and monkeys (howler monkey, brown capuchin monkey, tamarin), and also lazy.
